Let Them Stare
Victorian society was full of rules (especially for women). Sit properly, dress properly, behave properly… and definitely don’t go racing through the park on a penny-farthing with your hat flying off and your legs swinging in the air.
But some people have always preferred to write their own rules.
This illustration is a little tribute to that spirit. A woman with enough life behind her to know that other people’s opinions really aren’t worth slowing down for. The shocked onlookers? Let them clutch their parasols and whisper if they must.
Sometimes the best thing you can do is enjoy the ride, wind in your hair, and not worry who’s watching.
Because life’s far more fun when you simply let them stare.
